His mother died when Angus was 2, while giving birth to his brother, Hamish. Soon after, his father left Auchenheath with Hamish, leaving Angus in the village. He was taken in by the local Gunn family, and raised along with their son Andrew as one of their own. But as a result of his already-tough life, Angus had learned that things would not always go smoothly for him. As a result, as soon as he was old enough, he began to learn how to fight. He and Andrew had sparring contests at least twice a day, and frequently, either one or both of them sustained minor injuries. When Angus and Andrew were 14, they were competent fighters, and were able to easily see off any challenge that came their way locally. However, on a trip to Inverness in October 1989, they were set upon by a gang of youths, and given a real going-over. Taken to hospital with a number of injuries each, they both decided to toughen up, and make sure nothing like that would ever happen to them again. As a result, just over a year later, Angus and Andrew left Auchenheath, and headed to Glasgow. There, they joined a fighting school, and managed to hone their skills to perfection. They then went along to a show put on by the Scottish Wrestling Federation, and managed to convince the promoter to book them against each other in the opening match of the event. Together, they put on an amazing show, full of hard-hitting moves, impressing the SWF management so much they were both offered contracts. Both Angus and Andrew signed for the SWF, wrestling under their real names. Angus became a 4-time SWF champion, while Andrew won the same title twice. Then, the two went their separate ways, as a talent scout for the Dream Wrestling Federation, a little-known federation in the USA, spotted Angus in an SWF bout, and invited him across the Atlantic for signing talks. Angus went to the USA, and visited the DWF, soon realising that he could easily succeed in the American federation. He also hated what he perceived as the American arrogance towards everything, believing that they thought they were the best at everything. Angus signed with the DWF, calling himself The Scottish Warrior, and set out to proving the American public wrong. Due to his father leaving for the USA in Angus childhood, he had a deep loathing of everything that was not Scottish, and this, obviously, did not endear him to the American fans. He was soon one of the most-hated wrestlers in the USA, and while he did not win any titles in the DWF, his talent was there for all to see. But, soon after joining, the DWF closed down. TSW, though, was quickly snapped up, this time by the American Wrestling Association. Unfortunately, this too soon closed down, due to internal problems that TSW knew nothing about when he signed. However, it was in the AWA that TSW first met the man who was to become his greatest rival, the Londoner, Myst. After the closure of the AWA, TSW was in sports entertainment limbo for a few months, before being approached by a new federation, the International Wrestling Federation. TSW looked around the fed, was impressed with what he saw, and signed for them. After signing, TSW learned that his old enemy from the AWA, Myst, had also signed, and a long-running feud began almost as soon as the IWF opened for business. TSW became possibly the most successful wrestler in IWF history, winning the tag team titles twice, the European title once, the Intercontinental title twice, and the IWF title an unprecedented five times. He was also joined in the IWF by the man he grew up with, Andrew Gunn, now calling himself St. Andrew. Together, they formed one of the most feared groups in wrestling, the Bravehearts, and were soon joined by TSWs long-lost brother, now known as Psycho on account of his mental problems. The Bravehearts became one of the most dominant groups in wrestling, and despite disbanding at the beginning of 2002, they will go down in history. TSWs reputation was by now cemented, but in June 2002, disaster struck when the IWF unexpectedly closed down, due to high wage demands from rookie wrestlers. Once again, TSW was left in limbo, until Clint DeVasher, the owner of the Global Wrestling Association, got in touch. TSW was impressed with what DeVasher had to say, and signed with the GWA. TSWs reputation and talent precede him, but one question remains - will the big Scot be able to repeat his previous success in the talent-rich fields of the GWA?
