FAQ

The following questions are ones that I get frequently asked. Instead of telling everyone I talk to, you can simply just look here for common questions.

Q - How long has the GWA been running?

A - The GWA has been running since August 3rd, 2002. The first event, Corruption, took place the following Tuesday, with the first-ever pay-per-view, Genesis, occurring on September 1st.

Q - Who owns the GWA?

A - The GWA is owned and maintained by Dave Nelson, but he is ably assisted by his staff, and his two Vice-Presidents, Alex Davidson and Steve Krisch.

Q - How did the GWA begin?

A - Since August 2000, Dave was a member of the International Wrestling Federation (IWF), which was owned by Sam Orchard. When Sam decided to close the IWF in May 2001, Dave and a number of other IWF members fought to keep the federation opening, eventually succeeding, as Sam handed control over to Dave. Dave successfully ran the IWF for over a year, eventually closing it in June 2002. From the ashes, though, rose the GWA, which Dave started after closing the IWF, along with a number of fellow ex-IWF members.

Q - I want to join, but I don't have time to fill out the app in full.

A - Unfortunately, in order to get accepted, you must fill out the app in full. if you just put something like "I've been in a fed before and am a good roleplayer!" You'll have no chance of being accepted. I'm also reluctant to accept people who just paste roleplays from other feds, but I sometimes do accept.

Q - Is the GWA a roleplay or angle-based federation?

A - The GWA is strictly roleplay-based. The quality and effort of members' roleplays is rewarded in terms of places on cards, victories, and title reigns. Basically, if you don't put the effort in, you'll get nowhere here.

Q - Will you help me design my site?

A - Nope, I'm as good at site design as I am at nuclear physics. The GWA was wholly designed by one of our members, Nathan Bennett, so full credit and thanks go to Nath for that.

Q - Will you help me with graphics?

A - Again, I suck at that. The graphics contained within the GWA are all the handiwork on Ben Pomphrett, another one of our members. So again, credit and thanks to Ben.

Q - How much do you get paid for running the GWA?

A - I get nothing at all in terms of money, but I do get a lot of enjoyment. It's a hell of a lot of work for the staff to run, but I'm sure they wouldn't do it if they weren't enjoying themselves.

Q - Do you want to be affiliates with my site?

A - If you want to be an affiliate, simply e-mail me at nelbo009@hotmail.com and we'll talk business.

Q - Would you like to do some interfed stuff with my fed?

A - At present, I have no plans to take part in any interfed activities, or anything else of this nature. They all seem too rushed and unorganised. Maybe I will in the future, but right now, that is a no.

Q - Is this stuff copyrighted?

A - Damn right it is. All images, characters, designs, and content of this web-site are the sole property of the Global Wrestling Association, and may not be used elsewhere unless explicit permission is given. If you do, you will be added to the blacklist section of this site, liable to be sued, and I'll send the heavies round.
